Digital Radiography
When an external exam simply does not provide all the answers for your pet, our hospital is equipped with advanced imaging technology to help diagnose their issues. We offer X-ray imaging on-site, allowing our doctors to make immediate decisions for the health of your pet, and can be extremely beneficial in cases including:
- Fractures or breaks
- Objects swallowed by your pet
- Tumors
- Bladder stones
- Joint issues
- Other cases where physical exam does not reveal an underlying problem
Some X-rays require that the pet remain completely still, necessitating sedation. The duration of sedation is usually short and your pet will be closely monitored throughout the procedure. As a Fear Free certified hospital, we will make every effort to ensure the procedure is as stress-free as possible.
In-House Lab
Just as with human medicine, blood work is used in sick pets to help determine cause of illness and in healthy pets for early detection of disease. We will thoroughly discuss with you any tests we recommend for your pets and the reasons for them.
Chateau Veterinary Hospital can perform various blood tests, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, and other types of testing on-site instead of sending samples to an outside lab. This saves time, money, and most importantly, you don’t have to wait overnight for results—meaning your pet gets a diagnosis and needed treatment sooner.
